A MESSAGE FROM DALEY BARBER-ALLEN (HEADTEACHER)
Dear parents and carers
I just wanted to wish you all a happy and enjoyable half term break and thank you for your support so far this academic year. Time is whizzing by and it’s hard to believe that we are half way through another school year, but there have been so many fun and positive times... far too many to mention. I hope you enjoy looking at our Facebook and Class Dojo stories as much as I do, as this will always give you a little flavour of what we have been up to at GANF.
Our pupils - your children - are truly amazing to work with. We are driving our mission to provide our ‘unique learners’ with ‘limitless learning’ opportunities, so that they can thrive at school and develop confidence, independence and resilience. Watching every pupil grow, progress and achieve in their own way is a massive privilege, and one that we do not take for granted as a staff team.
I am proud of our pupils for following our three school rules - ‘be safe, be kind, try your best’ - which was evident during the very positive annual school review carried out by our Trust last week. I am also proud of our staff team for demonstrating the three core principles that should underpin all aspects of our work with pupils, each other and our wider school community:
- Visible kindness (showing kindness at all times and within every interaction)
- Deliberate botheredness (showing that you care and being very deliberate about it)
- Certainty in adult behaviour (being calm, clear and consistent in your approach)
I am excited about starting the next half of the school year with you all on Monday 24th February but until then, have a great half term holiday and enjoy some family time.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Daley
