Ambergate Sports College – Furniture Reuse
Enva recently secured a number of items from an EON site through our customer Office Essentials which were made available for reuse and donated to Ambergate Sports College. The school were delighted to receive the office furniture for their school environment.
Ambergate Sports College caters for pupils between the ages of 3 and 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs. Pupil needs are wide ranging; many are on the autistic spectrum, with others having ADHD and varying degrees of developmental delay, and some with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
Julie Saddler-Forman, Head of School said, “Receiving all these great resources has helped to support the school in the most amazing way. As a school we have been able to source lockers which will help to support our pupil’s independence; White boards that can be used in multiple areas within the school such as the gym. As well as office chairs for staff.
Being presented with this opportunity to reuse these items reinforces our environmental and sustainability values as an Eco School and we are happy to work further with Enva in the future to develop these further across our partner schools.
Mark Knight, Enva’s Area Sales Manager, said: “At Enva we believe the best way to manage waste is to stop it being created in the first place. Reusing perfectly good items, such as furniture, avoids them entering the waste management system and enables us to optimise their environmental and commercial value. We are delighted that Ambergate Sports College could benefit from this furniture and would like to thank both Office Essentials and EON for enabling this to happen. We are keen to work with other charities and businesses to facilitate more of these sustainable initiatives and increase the amount of goods that are reused.”
