Elite 11 2023

Ambergate Campus took a motivated and excited group of 6 pupils and merged with Greenfields Academy to participate in the Elite 11 in December.

Elite 11 is an inter-school sporting competition involving secondary schools from around the county, competing against each other in a variety of indoor sporting challenges. The event highlights the incredible commitment, teamwork and motivation of many young learners and raises aspirations for all those involved.

The competition took place at Boston College’s Peter Paine Performance Centre with challenges based around reaction speed, memory, agility and fitness plus sports activities such as power cycling, crazy golf, New Age Curling, football targets, netball shooting and table tennis rallies.

On the day the pupils took part to the maximum of their ability and did the school and themselves proud with the results they produced. Mr Gurney said, “it was great to see the commitment displayed throughout the day and the pupils demonstrated impeccable sportsmanship to their team mates as well as the other schools, all in all it was fun competitive day.”

Ambergate/Greenfields came 4th out of the 12 schools competing, which mainly consisted of mainstream schools and are immensely proud of their achievement. It is something we look forward to again next year.
