GANF take on Nottingham Panthers

GANF pupils have been full of anticipation for their special day at the Motorpoint arena, Nottingham.

They had a fantastic time going behind the scenes of the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey Team and were really chuffed to get the chance to watch the players practising on the ice. The pupils even got to meet the players and get some autographs and lots of fist bumps!

Some of the children were able to borrow some jerseys to wear so that they matched the players. The pupils loved it when The Panthers played close to the boards and when the puck hit the plexiglass!
Afterwards, the pupils were allowed to ask the team all kinds of questions about their ice hockey careers, how they got where they are today, and the most important questions: what their favourite animals are, and if they eat McDonalds.

After such an eventful day, the pupils then got the chance to put on some skates and have a go at ice-skating themselves. Some of them were really scared and wobbly on their feet to start with, but all had a go and had a fantastic time!
